Three areas where the 2019 Honda Passport stands out from the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

The 2019 Honda Passport and the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer are two of the hottest sport utility vehicles currently offered on the market. They have just arrived on the market and they are attracting a lot of attention from both consumers and the media. They are spacious, they are modern and they are packed with advanced technologies that help safety and connectivity.

They can both answer your needs, but they are also very different from each other. The 2019 Honda Passport puts the emphasis on efficiency, comfort, and interior space. It also stands out in terms of safety. The Blazer is a bit sportier, but on the following elements it trails the new Honda SUV.

The Honda Passport is more spacious… A lot more spacious

The 2019 Honda Passport is the most spacious mid-sized SUV in its segment, by far. On the other hand, the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is one of the least versatile mid-size SUVs on sale right now. Indeed, the Passport has 1,430 litres of cargo space right out of the gate compared to 864 litres in the Blazer. That’s almost double the space in the Honda. The 2019 Honda Passport has 2,854 litres of total cargo space while the Blazer has 1,818 litres. In other words, there’s a whole other average SUV of space in the Passport.

The 2019 Honda Passport is a lot more efficient

Both the Passport and the Blazer are powered by a V6 engine. The Blazer has a bit more power with 305 horsepower, but both the Honda and the Chevrolet get to 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds. On the other hand, the new Passport has an average fuel economy rating of 9.8 litres per 100 kilometers while the Blazer has an average fuel economy rating of 12.4 litres per 100 kilometers.

The 2019 Honda Passport has more active safety technologies

The 2019 Honda Passport gets a range of active safety technologies right out of the gate. The Honda Sensing suite of technologies in indeed standard while the Blazer has many active safety systems, but they are optional even in the top-of-the-line model.
